Sean Poppoff, Executive Director Lions Minnesota Eye Bank, Gift of Sight
Biography
Sean Poppoff is the Executive Director of Lions Gift of Sight. In this role, Sean is charged with leading the eye bank as it seeks to fulfill its mission to restore sight by providing tissue for research and transplant, conducting independent research and development, and educating the next generation of ophthalmologists and eye bank professionals.
Sean has a BA in Economics from the University of California San Diego. Prior to joining Lions Gift of Sight, Sean was the Department Administrator for the University of Minnesota’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences, and he previously held positions at the University of California San Diego, the University of Washington in Seattle, and the Center for Integrative Brain Research at Seattle Children's Research Institute. Sean, his wife, Haylee, and their four children and one grandchild live in Cottage Grove. Haylee and Sean are members of the Cottage Grove Lions Club
